Modern technology has made lives of people easier and comfortable. No matter what we call it, Mobile phone, cell phone or Handy all of them work in the same principle and everybody would recognize it when they see it. Mobile phones are one of the finest productions of modern human technology. It has been one of the very important part of human life. It saves so much of our time. Where ever we go, we just need to carry our mobile phone set and we will be just one phone call away from any place. No matter where we go, we will still be able to be in contact with our near and dear ones. The mobile phone technology that we used in everyday like did not come into existence just like that. It has taken several decades to come in to what we see it now. First came the concept of fixed phone. People could call far away distance and could talk to the person by sitting in their room. As time passed by people were becoming more and more busy with their work and they could not be in the office or in home all the time and when they were out of office or out of home they could not be contacted .Some times they have to go to the field trip or do some practical training out of the office. So they thought of having some time of phone that could be carried around where ever they go and which does not involve the wires. So the concept of Cordless phone came into existence. This type of phone solved the problem to some extent but there was always the problem when you had to travel long distances. And the batteries had to be recharged repeatedly. Then again people started thinking of different concept of phone and finally they invented Mobile Phone which could work on a cellular technology and we can take it anywhere we want and still be able to talk and receive phone calls. But the earlier mobile phone set were bigger and bulky compared to the present phone sets which are very small and attractive enabling multi functions such as internet, camera ,games and music. They even have radio, alarm clock, calendar in such a small mobile set. Mobile phone has made our lives very easy. All we need to do is buy mobile phone set and insert a SIM card. Then we are ready to take the heavy load of modern communication very easily on our shoulders.

But every technology has both negative and positive sides. So does the mobile phone. There are many companies around the world which deals with production of mobile phones. One of the leading industries these days is the mobile phone production companies. The more companies are set up then it will create more jobs for the people in the world job market. So this will help to earn their living and support their family. From the economic point of view this is one of the major advantages of having big companies. One of the leading industries in mobile production are Nokia, Siemens, Sony Eriksson, Motorola etc. Millions of people around the world use mobile phone in their everyday life and the number is increasing day by day. In china alone some 320 million users use mobile phones. Every year mobile phone transaction involves billions of dollars and it has been one of the sources of income for the government as well through the system of taxation. So this is benefiting the people and the government as well. But mobile phone technology is little bit expensive than the normal phone and still some people can not afford to buy one. Even if they buy one they use it very rarely just to send SMS( Short message system) or to receive calls.

Why the craze for mobile phone is increasing so rapidly? When ever we walk in the street or in train or in bus we see people talking in their mobile sets. This has been a part of life for most of the people. They cannot even imagine their life with out this technology. It would not be a big deal if they forget their money purse in home but they might miss so many important calls if they forget to take their mobile phone with them. This has certainly increased the pace of human life. The negative side of the mobile phone is that it produces radioactive rays which will influence your health in a negative way. It id found that people who use mobile phone heavily tend to suffer from these radio active rays which might effect their brain cells because when they talk they have to keep the set in their ears and the brain is very near. Mobile phone is an expensive technology and some people might miss utilize it and the money is then just wasted.

The mobile phones have more advantages than disadvantages so they are becoming more popular every day. So it is better to use this technology in a productive way rather than being showy about it. When we have a mobile phone with us then we should follow some norms otherwise it might disturb others. When we are in a meeting or in a classroom then we have to switch off the ringer and put it in vibration mode so that others will not hear when there is a call. And we should not talk on mobile phone while we drive because this might cause accidents. The mind of the driver will be more concentrated towards the conversation that he is having instead of on the road. And we have to always talk softly when talking on a mobile phone so that it will not disturb the people around us.
